Real Resolutions - Be good without even trying

New Year, same old resolutions. What’s the point in making promises you ditch even faster than the wilting Christmas tree? This year, try switching to no-brainer resolutions and GLAMOUR vows you’ll see the results. You can thank us when it’s bikini time again….

Resolution: Use two shopping baskets instead of a trolley
Treat yourself to a workout while strolling around Tesco. Make sure the baskets are evenly laden with a maximum of 3-4kg in each one (a bag of sugar is 1kg), and don’t overload them or you could give yourself a back injury”, says personal trainer Laura Williams. “Always bend from the knees and keep your back straight when you’re lifting them off the ground”.

The payoff: A 20-minute shop followed by a ten-minute brisk walk home carrying the bags will use 300 calories. Laura says, “Shop like this twice a week and within six weeks you’ll have burned 3, 600 calories – that’s equivalent to almost 1lb of fat”.

Which means? Over a year this adds up to 8.6lb of fat - the same as dropping at least one dress size”.
