Going on holiday does not have to mean sabotaging weeks of weight loss only to come home pounds heavier. It is possible to stay slim and still have fun with a few simples steps, says Sarah Ewing .
The temptation is to let your hair down and eat and drink what you like on holiday but you may need to let out your waistband if you don’t take care. “It’s easy to slip into bad habits because your day doesn’t have the same structure,” says Laura Williams, founder of Future Perfect, a personal training network in London. “However, exercise does not have to be a chore. Try and see your holiday as an extension of your everyday life. Don’t give yourself a green light to eat and drink as if it is going out of fashion”.
